Evergreen Web Pros ("Evergreen", "we", "us") builds and looks after websites for local businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through evergreenwebsites.ca, why we collect it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
When you use our contact form or email us, we collect what you choose to send, which may include:
If you become a client, we also keep the details needed to deliver our services and bill you, such as billing contacts, invoices and project content.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested.
We don't sell your personal information. We won't add you to a marketing list unless you've agreed to it.
Our main website pages don't use advertising cookies or analytics tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser shares your IP address with Google when a page loads.
We use a few trusted providers to run this website and our business. They only receive what they need to do their job:
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country. You can email us to ask about our practices for service providers outside Canada.
We keep enquiries for up to two years if you don't become a client. We keep client and billing records for as long as we work together and for as long as tax and legal requirements then call for, which is generally at least six years. After that, we securely delete or anonymize them.
We limit access to personal information to those who need it and use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and password-protected accounts. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please don't send passwords or payment card details through our contact form.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our using it, subject to legal limits. Email us at evergreenwebpros@gmail.com and we'll respond within 45 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
This policy covers Evergreen's own website. Sites we build for clients have their own owners, who are responsible for how those sites handle personal information. Links to other websites are also covered by those sites' own policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top.
Questions about privacy can go to our privacy contact at evergreenwebpros@gmail.com.
